Selena Gomez, an actress and singer who is well-known internationally. The Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place is one of her best-loved shows. Selena Marie Gomez is her full name. Selena Marie Gomez was born in the city of Grand Prairie in Texas on July 22nd the 22nd of July, 1992. Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez were her parents. Her mother was barely 16 at the time Selena became a mother. Selena got her first acting job as a showbiz actress at the age of 9 as she was Gianna as Gianna in Barney and her Friends. She was among many children to have played with Barney, the infamous Pink Dinosaur, an anthropomorphic dinosaur. Selena worked for several seasons of season 7 and 8 between 2001 to 2003. Fun facts: Demi Lovato, who was part of Barney's Friends in the same time period too, also worked with Selena. Selena Gomez tried out for several roles after she left Barney and Friends however, she failed. Selena Gomez was cast as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire as well as a role as a character in Mini Spies 3 in 2003. She also was given the character as Emily Grace Garcia in the 2006 Brain Zapped program for which she wrote a song.
