Kolber was previously employed by CBS Sports and Fox Sports. Kolber is originally from Pennsylvania, earned her graduate degree at University of Miami. Kolber began her career as the video coordinator at CBS Sports in New York City. She was awarded a Sports Emmy while working at WTVJ-TV Miami. Also, she worked for WPLG-TV Miami as well as WPEC-TV West Palm Beach in Florida.
